Having used a Marpac 980A for years, I didn't think anything could rival it. When I first heard the Marsona 600A I wasn't sure about it - the sound isn't as gentle as the 980A. However, I tried it out and had an amazing sleep. I then swapped my three-year-old daughter's 980A for a Marsona 600A and she slept for 14 hours!! If you are suffering with very loud disturbances this is the machine to go for, it has the option of really loud volume and is extremely effective.
With the Marsona 600A you can have white noise (from very quiet to a very loud volume) and you can also enjoy other sounds: Surf as it meets the sand of the beach, a calm, gentle rain with the rhythm of a distant thunderstorm (this is my favourite, I use it to relax before I switch the white noise on, it's really atmospheric). You can also relax to the sounds of a babbling Brook, the gentle lapping water at the Lakeshore, or the sounds of crickets and spring peepers on a Country Eve. The sounds on the Marsona DSI-600A are Marpac's US customers favourite and most requested sounds.
The Marsona 600A is completely portable. When standard electrical current is unavailable, it can be operated with four AA batteries (not included). Take the Marsona 600A wherever you go: hotel room, camping, visiting relatives - anywhere! The timer can be set to turn the unit off after sixty minutes if desired.
